The Maverick Run

We're so honored to be the charity of choice again this year for Orca Running! For 2020, the Maverick Run is taking the place of the Fly 5K race. Register here! Aviation for Humanity will receive a portion of the proceeds! Participants will receive a finisher’s medal, official race shirt, finisher buff and patch. There is also a virtual kid’s race!

Pencil Case Stuffing Party

​Thank you to Klara, a Whidbey Island 2nd grade student with a big heart! She (along with her mom) organized an after school pencil case stuffing party. They organized volunteers at the public library where the group filled 250 pencil cases with 1500 items. These cases will be transported to shelters and orphanages in remote regions worldwide.  Thank you to all!

Seattle Marathon

More than 30 Girl Scouts from Western Washington Service Unit 151 of South Whidbey Island volunteered to fill 200 cases with various school supplies for children in Mozambique, Africa. They contained pens, pencils, crayons, notepads, and toy aircraft. These pencil cases will be shipped to volunteers at the not-for-profit organization, All Hands and Hearts.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) held a Leadership Conference in San Diego February 2018.  Their theme was resiliency. Kimberly Perkins was honored to be featured in one of their short videos. In it, she discusses Aviation for Humanity and the importance of the aviation industry giving back to international development.
