Aviation for Humanity ambassador, Paddy Shivanand, visited an orphanage in Moshi, Tanzania. Through the community of aviation, Aviation for Humanity was able to connect her with Mama Faraji, the founder of Tuleeni Orphan’s home. Paddy shares her experience here:
“Mama Faraji is a woman you cannot miss in a crowd. She will envelope you in her warm smile and happy hug as soon as you step into the Tuleeni Orphan’s home in Moshi, Tanzania. I had the privilege of visiting the children and young adults at Tuleeni Orphan’s Home in November 2018, thanks to the arrangements by Aviation for Humanity.
We are deeply grateful to Aviation For Humanity for putting together these gifts in attractive little bag for our kids here. This morning again we have sent 10 gift bags to another district of Nepal Grace home in Hetauda and we are holding 115 bags for seven of our homes in central and west homes to be given during our travel in January.
We look forward to that with special expectation based on our happy experience so far in the distribution of these cute bags in some of our homes in Kathmandu.
We want to say a big thanks to Aviation for Humanity.
Loknath and Naresh"
Aviation for Humanity would like to thank the residents of The House of Hope and the Kidstown International staff for facilitating the visit. A huge “thank you” goes to the Pacific Northwest Business Aviation Association (PNBAA) for supplying the funds to purchase school supplies and to the PNBAA members that volunteered their time to organize and pack over 600 pencil cases with more than 3000 items.
The blog is an opportunity to connect those who have donated with those who have received. Please check periodically for updates.
